Six sentence Sunday -- Zucchini, anyone?

GRACE UNEXPECTED is contemporary women's fictionI am delighted to participate in today's Six Sentence Sunday with a selection from my new novel GRACE UNEXPECTED to be released July 16 from Booktrope Editions.

What's the book about? In short, Grace Savage is a thirty-something woman who, after visiting a Shaker village on vacation, attempts to follow their strict, celibate lifestyle. When two extremely eligible bachelors enter her life, Grace's self-control is tested and hilarity ensues!

Click here for more about information the book or to read the first chapter.

These six sentences conclude Chapter 21, entitled "Men of Grace,"  which takes place during the height of the zucchini season and for a woman like Grace, comparisons are, well, inevitable.

Six Sentences:

If you’ve ever grown zucchini, you know they all ripen the same day. You wait all of June and July for zucchini. August rolls around, and one day—bam! You have more zucchini than you know what to do with. You start handing them out to your neighbors and friends at work because there’s no way any single person can handle all that zucchini. Not even if you’re smart and resourceful and have accumulated dozens of good recipes, not even a person who likes zucchini as much as I do.

If you'd like to participate in next week's Six Sentence Sunday, you can learn more at their website.

So basically when life hands you zucchini make bread? Or something like that?

Totally looking forward to reading your next novel; if it's anywhere near as good as Don Juan was - and I'm sure it will be - I can't see where a movie deal is too far off in the making!
